Resident Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Resident Engineer to lead and supervise construction activities for infrastructure projects at our Solomon Islands branch. The role involves on‑site coordination, technical oversight and ensuring compliance with project specifications and contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction operations for transmission lines, highways or building projects.
• Coordinate with design teams, contractors and client representatives to maintain schedule and quality.
• Monitor compliance with FIDIC contract terms and health‑safety standards.
• Prepare progress reports, variation orders and technical documentation.
• Resolve on‑site technical issues and support commissioning of high‑voltage utilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in construction, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or site‑based role.
• Experience with transmission line, highway or building projects; high‑voltage utility experience is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with FIDIC contract conditions.
