Associate Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking an Associate Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to support the Pacific Climate Mobility Partnerships Programme (PCMP) and related initiatives. Based in Honiara, the role works under the Chief of Mission (COSP) and the Programme Officer (Migration & Climate Change) and collaborates closely with the Programme Support Unit in Suva and other IOM units.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation frameworks for PCMP and other migration‑related projects.
• Collect, analyse, and validate data to produce timely and accurate M&E reports.
• Support the preparation of progress, performance, and impact assessments for internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with the Coordination Office for the South Pacific, Programme Support Unit, and Headquarters to ensure alignment with IOM standards.
• Contribute to the design of indicators, data collection tools, and learning activities.

Required profile

• University degree in social sciences, statistics, development studies, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably within migration, climate change, or development programmes.
• Familiarity with the Pacific region and its socio‑economic context.
• Strong analytical abilities and effective written and oral communication skills.
