Resident Engineer - Bridge

About the role

The Resident Engineer will oversee day‑to‑day supervision and administration of bridge construction works. Reporting to the Project Manager, the role ensures that all activities comply with contract requirements, approved designs and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise construction activities and monitor contractor performance on site.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and contractual obligations.
• Review and approve contractor submissions, including work programmes, method statements, materials and shop drawings.
• Monitor progress, identify delays, risks and implementation issues, and verify quantities for payment applications.
• Support evaluation of claims, variations and extensions of time.
• Coordinate with contractors, airport operators, government authorities and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Construction, Structural, Transportation or Airport Engineering; professional engineer designation preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction supervision, contract administration and engineer’s representative roles on major infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience with FIDIC Conditions of Contract, claims management and multidisciplinary stakeholder coordination.
• Experience on bridge, airport, highway or rail projects, preferably funded by international financing institutions.
