Partnerships and Resource Development Director

About the role

World Vision is seeking a senior leader to head Partnerships and Resource Development in the Solomon Islands. The Director will shape and execute a sustainable fundraising strategy, building diverse revenue streams to support vulnerable children across the Pacific.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for resource mobilization, donor engagement, grant acquisition and partnership development.
• Design and implement a resource development strategy aligned with national priorities, the Our Promise 2030 agenda and Pacific regional plans.
• Expand and diversify funding from institutional donors, multilateral agencies, UN bodies, foundations, private sector, churches, diaspora networks and domestic sources.
• Strengthen relationships with government ministries, development partners, regional organisations, private sector actors and community stakeholders.
• Ensure high‑quality grant acquisition, compliance, accountability and stewardship of resources.
• Promote World Vision’s visibility and influence in child well‑being, resilience, climate adaptation, education, health, gender equality and humanitarian response.
• Advise senior management on organisational strategy, structure, workforce planning, localisation and cross‑functional collaboration.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in fundraising, partnership development or resource mobilization within the nonprofit or humanitarian sector.
• Demonstrated ability to secure large‑scale grants and manage relationships with institutional donors and multilateral agencies.
• Strong understanding of the Solomon Islands and Pacific development context, including government and civil‑society dynamics.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Commitment to World Vision’s Christian values and mission to improve children’s lives.
