Community Development Facilitator (CARA)

About the role

World Vision is seeking a Community Development Facilitator for the CARA programme in Makira. The role will focus on organising and mobilising schools and communities to ensure sustainable impact of project interventions, spending most of the time in the field.

Key responsibilities

• Mobilise and engage community members and schools in project activities.
• Plan, implement and monitor community‑based interventions.
• Collect and report data, track progress and contribute to learning.
• Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders and partners.
• Support project ownership and sustainability through empowerment approaches.

Required profile

• Three to five years’ experience in community development interventions.
• Relevant diploma or certificate from a recognised institution.
• Strong communication skills in English (reading and writing) and local language.
• Ability to work in diverse cultural settings and solve problems.
• Experience with data‑collection methodologies and networking.

Required skills

• Computer skills for data entry and reporting.
