About the role
SMEC, a design and engineering firm active in transport and energy infrastructure, is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant / Office Accountant to support its project team on an upcoming feasibility study for a road/infrastructure project in the Solomon Islands. The role covers the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the project office.
Key responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the project office
- Record expenses and process payments
- Manage petty cash
- Handle financial documentation and reconciliations
- Prepare project financial reports
Required profile
- University degree in accounting or another relevant field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial due diligence for infrastructure, including the transport sector, or a related field
- Fluent writing and speaking English is mandatory
