Vehicle Driver for World Vision in Honiara

About the role

World Vision is seeking a reliable Vehicle Driver to ensure safe and timely mobility for staff, visitors, and support administration activities across its operations in Honiara. The role involves maintaining vehicle documentation, compliance, and performing routine checks.

Key responsibilities

• Assist employees and guests by providing vehicles for on‑time travel.
• Conduct regular vehicle status checks to ensure physical and legal fitness.
• Maintain monthly log books and track vehicle usage.
• Perform maintenance and repair work on identified problems or defects.
• Verify inspections before and after annual ‘C’ service with approved service providers.
• Monitor fuel consumption and efficiency, keeping vehicle‑wise records.
• Ensure all vehicle documents are in order and no legal non‑compliance occurs.
• Uphold security policies and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years driving experience.
• Certificate equivalent to Grade 10.
• Oral communication skills in Pidgin and basic English.
• Knowledge of transport rules, safety and security measures, and first‑aid basics.
• Willingness to work under pressure and live according to World Vision values.
