Senior Project Associate (Solomon Islands Nationals Only)

About the role

The Senior Project Associate will lead the implementation of labour mobility programming in the Solomon Islands, working under the Chief of Mission in Fiji and the Programme Support Officer locally.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of labour mobility programmes in the Solomon Islands.
• Coordinate with government authorities, UN agencies, NGOs and other partners.
• Support migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons and victims of trafficking in programme activities.
• Monitor and report on labour mobility trends and donor programming.
• Ensure compliance with financial rules and regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or high school diploma with extensive experience).
• Minimum five years of professional experience in migration, humanitarian or development settings.
• Proven experience liaising with governmental and international stakeholders.
• Experience working with vulnerable groups and return migrant workers is an advantage.
• Fluency in English and Pidjin (oral and written).

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of migration and labour mobility issues.
• Understanding of UN and bilateral donor programming.
• Familiarity with financial rules and regulations.
