About the role
The International Organization for Migration is seeking a Communications and Creative Content Specialist on a 12‑month consultancy to support the Labour Mobility Unit in Solomon Islands. The role focuses on developing gender‑sensitive information, education and communication (IEC) materials that help returned migrant workers reintegrate sustainably.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of Activity 1.2.3, overseeing the full cycle of IEC material development from research to dissemination.
- Gather and analyse information on best practices, resources and opportunities to inform content for returning migrant workers.
- Produce print, digital, audio‑visual and social media assets that are culturally appropriate and gender‑sensitive.
- Monitor the use of materials, collect feedback and adapt outputs as needed.
Required profile
- University degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Media, Marketing, Journalism or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Demonstrated experience creating IEC and communication materials for government or development projects.
- Fluency in English; working knowledge of Pijin is desirable.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere Pro.
- Experience using video‑editing software and other digital content creation tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
