Area Program Manager – Lead Regional Programs

About the role

The Area Program Manager provides overall leadership and management for Area Programs, ensuring alignment with national strategies, sector plans, and disaster preparedness frameworks. This role coordinates staff, partners, and resources to deliver high‑quality ministry in the assigned area.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for the Area Program in line with organizational policies.
• Acquire and manage resources, including budgeting, financial oversight, and donor reporting.
• Build capacity of staff and partners through training and mentorship.
• Ensure accountability and quality assurance across program activities.
• Network and coordinate with implementing partners and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years experience coordinating programs or projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in social studies, business administration, rural development or related field.
• Proven track record in proposal development, funding acquisition and grant management, preferably with major government donors.

Required skills

• Strong budgetary, DME and financial management abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes (or similar database/email tools).
